A Cinderella Story

Sam wasn't so happy when he married Fiona. This brought two spoilt stepsisters Brianna and Gabriella onto the scene. Now her life really was "no fairy-tale." But things were about to get even worse. When her dad died in an earthquake without leaving a will, Fiona took over everything - including the diner, and Sam herself! Now our modern day Cinderella is at the beck and call of her wicked stepmother and stepsisters.
Meanwhile, at school, she's falling in love with a guy she met online. He's a sensitive type who quotes poetry and wants to be a writer, and he's crazy about her, too. They text each other day and night, and now he wants to meet her in the real world.
But Sam discovers that he's Austin Ames (Chad Michael Murray) the school hunk, football captain and student body president. Austin is a cooler than a polar bear's toenails. He hangs out with all the popular guys and beautiful girls, so maybe their relationship is better left in cyberspace. If he finds out who she is, she reckons he'll reject her faster than her head can spin at the thought of dating him. But her fairy-tale can only come true if she comes clean.
Will Sam and Austin get to live happily ever after?
A Cinderella Story is a lighthearted romcom. Whether you love or hate it may depend on whether you're a Hilary Duff fan, or think Chad Michael Murray is hot! Some parts are just plain silly. For instance, why would a supercool hunk like Austin, who literally has girls queuing up to go out with him, be looking for a girl on the internet?
But, if this is your kind of thing, A Cinderella Story is fast paced fun, with some snappy one-liners and a lively cast.
Sam and Austin really starting to live out the Cinderella story at the school's fancy dress ball. Except, in this version, 'Cinderella' doesn't leave her shoe behind, but her mobile!
Hilary Duff said she accepted the lead role because Cinderella was her favourite story as a kid.

At first I thought it was, like, a little girls' film, but then I saw it had Hillary Duff and when I read things about it and when all my mates said that it was a good film i thought I wud watch it and so I did, and I found out it was brilliant! So I got it on DVD straight after! LOL!
